Post Production Research

This is the feedback that I received after my final media products. I have done an interview of two teenage females that can relate to the magazine.

1. Would you say the three media productions that I have created, reflect young teenage girly girls?

Person 1 – yeah because of the colours and images, they indicate it’s for a girl

Person 2 - Yes because of the colours used.

2. out of the three media productions, which one is the best, and how can I improve the other two?

Person 1 – I think front cover is the best, for a pop magazine I think the other 2 need more images and stuff, they are normally like packed out 

Person 2 - The double page spread – the article is interesting and I can relate to it, the others are really good too except for the contents page, it’s a bit empty.

3. What’s the best feature on the front cover? Why?

Person 1 – I like the banner at the bottom because the layout of the images and the style of it just grab my attention first

Person 2 - the banner, it’s informative and pretty

4. What’s the best feature on DPS? Why?

Person 1 - I like the main image on the dps, matches the magazine and fits the page

Person 2 - The relative images – they make me interested.

5. Whats the best feature on the contents page?
Person 1 – the layout of the text, looks really similar to a real pop mag, professional looking

Person 2- the big numbers, it makes me want to go read it ASAP!

6. Is the layout suitable for a pop music magazine?

- Person 1 - yeah it is, it’s got a lot going on which is typical of a pop mag

- Person 2 – yes it has certain elements like the way in which the font is placed

7. Do you think the colours match a summery season?
- Person 1 - I think the blue does, if you were going for a summer feel, I would have used like yellows oranges and greens?

- Person 2 - kind of, if yellow or orange was used it would match more

8. Do you think the price is reasonable (£2.40)?

- Person 1 - Yes

- Person 2 - Yes

9. the topics, fashion, music, gossip and tips, do you think a girly girl target audience will like this?
- Person 1 - yeah, typical girl topics, they pop up in every pop mag

- Person 2 - yes

10. Overall, would you read this magazine? Why?

- Person 1 - I would read it, not on a regular basis though, looks like a young teen magazine

- Person 2 - yes because it seems interesting

From my feedback that I received I can see what improvements I can make. I can recommend myself in changing the colour to make it more suitable with the season such as orange.  The contents page is a bit empty so I could have added more pictures and more text to make it more attractive. But overall, I would say I was really successful of making the magazine suit the target audience that I aimed for.
